Science

Science is taught by way of practical investigations at Oakwood, with an emphasis on generating excitement and interest in the subject, by way of fun and accessible learning.

The children are challenged with taking their investigations a step further by asking themselves what their findings mean. This analytical approach stretches them cognitively and provides for a meaningful curriculum.

This, combined with school trips, workshops and visitors, as well as a School wide Science Week with practical experiments for all, helps to further enrich the curriculum.
