Oakwood School is renowned for the support it offers parents and that starts even before children join the Reception class.

We know that parents are keen to help toddlers learn the key skills which will help them when they join school. 

Enrol for Acorns at Oakwood, our series of focused sessions exploring different activities and skills to prepare toddlers for next steps and have some fun along the way!

Each session is run by a qualified and experienced Early Years practitioner. They are all designed to help you explore some of the ways you can help your child to develop their learning through the wonderful medium of structured play. 

You and your child will enjoy storytelling, dance, paint, exploring the outdoors and fine motor skills.

Sessions are £5 each, or £20 if you book all five. Refreshments are provided and you will have the opportunity to talk with teachers about your child's development.

Miss Candela Marquez, Head of Pre-Prep, explains:

'We find that so many parents want to give their children every opportunity to prepare for the world of school and ask for support and guidance on what they can do.

Although there are lots of playgroups available for children, our sessions are designed to support parents. We've designed a really exciting curriculum that parents and children alike should enjoy and we can't wait to welcome everybody to Oakwood soon.

Acorns at Oakwood begins on Thursday 23rd May and there are five sessions in total. More information is available here.

The programme is designed for children aged 2 to 4, but if you have a younger child as well, you can bring them along.

Parents are responsible for their own children throughout.
